Carnevil Haunt 2026 is a neighborhood home haunt located in Dyer, Indiana.

Please remember that this is a residential neighborhood. Be respectful of our neighbors, keep noise to a minimum, and never block a driveway, mailbox, or fire hydrant.

Is admission really free?

Yes! Entry to Carnevil Haunt 2026 is completely free. We created this event to bring Halloween fun to local families and give the community a place to enjoy the season together.

Do I need a ticket or reservation?

No ticket or reservation is required. Guests will enter on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where should I park?

Guests should park only in legal spaces and follow all posted signs in the Saddle Creek area. Please do not block neighboring driveways, mailboxes, sidewalks, intersections or emergency-access areas.

Scares, Animatronics, and Attractions

What exactly is Carnevil Haunt 2026?

Carnevil is a family-built Halloween walkthrough filled with creepy carnival scenes, eerie lighting, skeletons, pumpkins, fog, sound effects, handmade props and large Halloween animatronics.

Guests will travel through themed areas including Tiny Terrors Daycare, Carnevil Concessions, The Clown’s Last Laugh, the Butcher Shop, Ghastly Graveyard, the Pumpkin Patch and other strange surprises hiding beneath the big top.

Are there live scare actors?

No. Carnevil Haunt 2026 does not use live scare actors.

Is Carnevil appropriate for children?

Carnevil is designed as a family-friendly Halloween experience, but every child reacts differently to spooky decorations.

How scary is it?

We aim for spooky, exciting and theatrical rather than extreme or graphic. Some areas are silly and playful, while others are darker and creepier.

Guests who are frightened by clowns, skeletons, animatronics, loud noises or dark spaces may find parts of the haunt intense.

What attractions will be available?

Planned attractions include:

• A walkthrough featuring several themed Halloween scenes
• Large Halloween animatronics
• Carnevil carnival and sideshow decorations
• A scavenger hunt
• Photo opportunities
• Halloween merchandise and Carnevil swag

Attractions may change as new props and surprises are added.

Is there a scavenger hunt?

Yes! Guests will be able to search for hidden items while making their way through the haunt.

A downloadable scavenger-hunt sheet will be posted on the website closer to the event.

Does the haunt use flashing lights, fog or loud sounds?

Yes. Carnevil may include flickering or flashing lights, fog effects, loud noises, music, moving animatronics and sudden sounds.

Accessibility and Guest Comfort

Are restrooms available?

Because Carnevil is a neighborhood home haunt, guests should not assume public restrooms will be available unless otherwise posted.

What happens if it rains?

Carnevil is primarily an outdoor event. Light rain may not stop the show, but heavy rain, high winds, lightning or unsafe conditions could delay or cancel the haunt.

Weather updates will be posted on the Carnevil website.

Rules and Safety

Can we wear costumes?

Absolutely! Costumes are encouraged..

Can we take pictures or videos?

Yes, personal photos and short videos are welcome unless a sign says otherwise.

Can we touch the decorations or animatronics?

No.

What other rules should guests follow?

To keep the haunt safe and enjoyable:

• Children must remain with an adult.
• Walk—do not run through the haunt.
• Stay on marked paths.
• Do not touch props or animatronics.
• Do not smoke or vape in the event area.
• Do not bring alcohol, weapons or realistic weapon props.
• Be respectful of volunteers, other guests and neighborhood residents.
• Follow all instructions from the Carnevil crew.

Guests who intentionally damage decorations, enter restricted areas or behave unsafely may be asked to leave.

Will candy be available?

Candy and small prizes are planned as part of the experience as a scavenger hunt – while supplies last.

Donations, Volunteers and Support

Where do donations go?

Every donation helps support the continued growth of Carnevil.

Admission remains free whether or not you donate.

Can I donate decorations or supplies?

Yes! We appreciate donations of usable Halloween decorations, building materials, paint, lumber, foam, lighting, extension cords, storage containers, and other haunt supplies.

Old, damaged, or broken animatronics may also be useful for parts or repairs. Please contact us before dropping anything off.

Can I volunteer?

Yes. Volunteers may be needed to help with prop building, painting, setup, electrical work, decorating, candy preparation, guest guidance, event-night support, cleanup and breaking down the haunt.

Can my business sponsor Carnevil?

Yes. Local businesses and families can support Carnevil through financial contributions, donated materials, supplies, or services.

Yes. Purchasing Carnevil apparel, drinkware, koozies, candy bags and other merchandise helps support the haunt while giving fans something spooky to take home.
